They have signed a midfield pair of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandez from West Ham, who will form a nice double pivot in midfield. Behind them, they have penned Andy Robertson on a free, Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton, and Marcos Senesei from Bournemouth, to add stability at the back.       These two fit in well into De Zerbi's system as they both bring in his core attacking principles, provoked pressing and maximum width. Marmoush fits in well as he can hold off physical defenders and lay the ball off. By doing this, he takes a player out of the game and it gives the team more time, and space to move forward. Marmoush's positional flexibility is also a key asset on why he will fit in well in De Zerbi's system. This is due to the fact that the manager requires his front line to rotate and being able to play in different attacking positions means that he can excel wherever he is. If Savio cuts in, he can drift wide and say if James Maddison pushes forward he can naturally fill that deeper position. 

    Savio's rapid pace is his biggest asset in the De Zerbi's system system, is lethal on the transition and instantly exploits the space. By staying wide, he forces the opposition left back out of position and is superior in 1v1 situations. He draws the whole team out to the left and then he can switch it across the pitch to Marmoush on the opposite side to exploit all that empty space. He can then cut in and use his dominant right foot to whip in a cross or shoot and test the keeper. Savio also possesses an excellent defensive recovery rate and is willing to track back and help out with the defense. This adds to his transitional skills as he can get the ball even quicker to receive the ball to bomb forward.
