Man United Agree Deal For Andrey Santos
Man United have a deal worth £50 million with Chelsea for midfielder Andre Santos. The deal consists of a £48 million base fee plus £2 million in add-ons. Santos is United's second midfield signing this window alongside Emerson from Atalanta. A key reason on why he is wanted in the United midfield is that he is an elite ball winner. At Chelsea last season, he won 68% of his ground duels and with him combining this with his efficient forward passing, he will be a perfect player to break up opposition play and get United going. He would benefit in Michael Carrick's system as he would make a perfect midfielder to play in a double pivot either with Emerson on Kobbie Mainoo. Seeing as Santos is a comfortable ball winner, this enables Kobbie Mainoo to advance forward and attack more and paired with Santos' excellent distribution, he would fit in well in that double pivot role. Additionally, Andrey Santos is a prominent player from set pieces and can contribute with goals or assists. This is especially useful in todays game with set pieces, especially corners, becoming a paramount piece of the game plan.

Bournemouth agree deal with Fiorentina for Alex Jimenez on loan for the upcoming season.
Alex Jimenez has been a breakthrough star in Bournemouth's historic season where they qualified for the Europa League. In his 31 appearances for The Cherries, has has just the 1 goal at right back but has contributed so much more defensively. He has made 83 clearances and 19 interceptions and won 81% of his tackles. He is also a key player in the build up, with 15 key passes leading to shots. One slight issue with him though is his discipline. He has racked up 10 yellow cards in the season and that results in bans or if he isn't careful, red cards. Jimenez will be very useful in the Fiorentina back line as he can be played as a wing back or a standard right back. His explosive acceleration will allow his team to rapidly go forward and he can create attacking overloads making it harder to defend against him. Alongside his attacking skills, he can defend to as he wins 81% of his duels and has a very reliable 83% passing accuracy, which adds stability to the squad. Another useful factor is that he has played in Italy before as he played for AC Milan and played in 26 matches for them. This means that he knows the league well and its harsh demands on the players. Importantly, this loan includes a buy option for 20 million euros.
